About Me

A fresh and luminous fashion Exclusive prints in bold colors Simple yet noble fabrics from cotton to flannel, wool to cashmere, leather to 100% nylon. A studied, precise silhouette and solid grasp of volume. A tireless research into shape and proportion. A view of fashion through men, women and the equilibrium of the two. Color is turned up the maximum, pastels are reduced to the minimum and white becomes light itself. A fashion that takes to the street and is recognised by its sense of humour. For AB-irato's second collection, Alexandre Miel and Benjamin Moureau have thrown themselves into a new challenge - all while extracting inspiration from the previous collection, shown last October in Paris - with references to the fine arts, glamour and nature. Their notions of the culture of clothing are observed through an innate understanding and humour plus their love of referring to previous eras…. Academic drawings find themselves graphically spread over fabrics; jungle scenes are distorted in a striking array of fluorescent colours; disco figures add a large dose of humour as they dance across intelligent cuts and deserved comfort. Inspiration is gleaned, gathered and collected. It's then pieced together little by little in a montage of sensations, choice and convictions. The culture is filtered. The clothes are precise. Alexandre worked for six years under Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme, where he was in charge of developing the knitwear and pattern-making. It was an intense and well-seasoned collaboration dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. Following five years of direction at a Parisian House of Gastronomy, Benjamin proposed a partnership via which they could both maximise their know-how and talent. From this energy, the idea of AB-irato was born. AB-irato is Latin for describing what comes from irritation.
