Duke B & TK Wonder

About Me

Duke B and TK Wonder met in late 2007 in New York City, and instantly developed a strong artistic bond. Within only six months they had written and recorded more then an album’s length of explosive material. From henceforth they have performed around some landmark venues in NYC and Miami. The following summer of 2008 they have performed alongside acts such as N.E.R.D., The Prodigy and The Sex Pistols in various international electronic music festivals like Offest, EXIT, VIP INmusic and Beer Fest in Europe. Their track “Fantasy World” was released on the European CD compilation Fashion Week 5 as well as Japanese compilation Luire presents: DJ Moni. Now with an album on the way which consist of a fusion of New York electro, hip hop and world music, expect the explosion of a new genre of music to filter in your ears.  It is these combinations that has fused an element of exhilarating distinction in their music.
Duke’s previous experience consists of a wide range of musical work as producer and composer. Genres hold no barriers for he has scored for Hollywood and European films, released four solo albums and numerous tracks for worldwide compilations. (Marakesh Express 2, Chill Out In Paris 4, 5, 7) He has co-written and co-produced with Telepop Musik, Angela McCluskey, Sussan Deyhim and Paul Cantelon and did remixes for Cindy Lauper, Asia Argento, FM Belfast and Blue Man Group. Duke was also musical director of the infamous New York based musical theater The Citizens Band for two years, and musical director of Gina Gershon’s show “In the search of Cleo”. He has performed shows in most of New York’s milestone venues as well as around the US and Europe. Besides production and composing, Duke is an extraordinary piano player and has a special flair for creating a very distinctive style of electro/acoustic performance.
“Combining powerful delivery and provoking lyrics, TK Wonder is electric” – Trace magazine, New York. TK Wonder’s notable skill for writing and “slamming” lyrics in a very unique hip hop/spoken word fashion seems to create a new genre with a significant electro punch. Her singing is as unique as her vibrant presence on stage and her outstanding live performance. She has performed at various venues such as Hiro Ballroom, Studio B, Nublu, Joe's Pub, Hunter College, Apollo Theater, the legendary Lyricist Lounge show, Delano Hotel in Miami, The Viper Room in LA and the Jazz Cafe in London to name a few. TK Wonder has worked with musician/ artist Taylor Mcferrin and has also opened for artists such as Erykah Badu, Nas, Duffy and Talib Kweli.
