I moved to Scottsdale AZ a few months ago for a new job. I guess I wasn't good enough for Colorado anymore?! So far the new job has been great! I either work a ton, or hardly work at all. It's kind of weird waking up in the morning and wondering well what am I going to do today?? Of course those don't come as often as I'd like but they come, which is a new experience for me. 9-5 jobs just weren't cutting it for me!
Phoenix in General is a good place to live. It is gradually getting hotter and hotter! There's a ton of bars and clubs around... too bad I wasn't down here for the past 2 or 3 yrs when I was more interested in going out!
I am also in the Wyoming Air National Guard. I go up every other month or "as they need". We'll see where this takes me in the next year. Flying home is quite expensive and getting more so, honestly, this may force me to move home alone. That would suck! I want one good winter where I see snow and cold weather on my terms!
There are things I miss in Colorado, family and close friends for sure. But at the same time, Colorado was feeling more and more like a trap, like nothing would ever be as good as I wanted it to be. I'm not one for settling, I usually get what I want. I worked my ass off making a lot of changes in my life in the last 3 years, sometimes losing and sometimes winning, but all for the better. But, here I am, enjoying my new freedoms from my hard work, looking forward to wherever else life decides to take me. I've done good, but can do better. The challenge of doing so is all that about drives me anymore.
