[Mosha Folger] represents a new generation of Inuit artists whose works are an amalgam of tradition and modernity, showing a great ability to move from one artistic discipline to another. . .
"Folger describes himself as a modern nomadic Inuk, having lived in Iqaluit, Vancouver and Ottawa. I would also be tempted to see in his multidisciplinarity another kind of nomad, an artistic one." - Maxime Bock, Spirale Magazine (trans. from French)
"By performing his poems, Folger hopes to update Southerner's perceptions of Inuit life" - Kate Porter CBC Radio One (Ottawa)
"My favourite discovery of 2007." T. Nile, Railway Club

Mosha Folger, born in Iqaluit, Nunavut, with roots in Vancouver, is the product of an Inuit mother and a Brooklynite father. A writer and performer, he has been a playwright participant at Weesageechak Begins to Dance; performed for her Excellency Michaelle Jean; and shared his "Eskimo-centric" brand of spoken word at various venues, including WestFest in Ottawa, the Railway Club in Vancouver, and the Alianait Arts Festival in Iqaluit. Mosha, a modern nomadic Inuk, has temporarily settled in Ottawa with his girlfriend and their dog, writing scripts, writing lyrics, writing poetry and writing himself off.
"I read the truth, and that's the scientifical truth, which is much better. You shouldn't let poets lie to you." -Bjork
"It ain't no contribution/to rely on the Institution/to validate your chosen art/and to sanction your boredom and let you play out your part." -Jim Carroll
