About Me

I am a rocket scientist with degrees in geology and planetary geophysics. Having been thwarted in my ambition to become an astronaut, I write books about it instead. I live in Gateshead with a fierce lawyer, two unruly children and an ageing cat.
I am the author of the World Fantasy Award shortlisted "Another War", and the epic SF novel "The Lost Art" from David Fickling Books. I've just signed to Orbit for the next three books, due out in 2011.

My website can be found at www.bookofmorden.co.uk .
