Lashana Lynch

From the tender age of seven, Lashana began to showcase her passion and talent for singing. Lashana grew up in West London and began singing professionally at 13 and her flare for song writing soon followed. In 2001, she was an Urban Voice finalist, in which she narrowly missed out being crowned the winner. Her luck change in 2006 when she became a UK Unsigned finalist scooping the top prize in her category Singer/Songwriter Pre-Recorded. Lashana’s unique sound is a fusion of several music genres, notably incorporating soul, jazz, reggae and gospel. Her major influences include Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Faith Evans, Marvin Gaye, SWV, Lauren Hill, Dennis Brown, Tina Turner and Anthena Cage; among several others. As of 2007, Lashana is currently working on her debut album, due to be completed by the end of the year.
