FUBAND

Don't call them a Supergroup, but FUBAND is the nuclear fusion of the remnants of past Kingman denizens of the punk rock scrap heap including Really Rare Steak, Getaway Gunner, Hearafter, Birdland Mafia and maybe a few more I could think of a couple of beers ago.These fuckers are so super-versatile and talented that they can't be pinned down to just one instrument. Dirtytone, Rubes and Pistolero each play guitar, bass, drums, and contribute incoherent mumblings on the mic. Most of the drumming though is handled by Doug, who also is known to break bass strings and also belch out his love for the choicest hops 'n' barley on the mic."I hate these fuckers, but there's always beer in Doug's refrigerator, so I come to practice," said Dirtytone."Rubes made me join," said Pistolero. "I was drunk when he stuck the contract in front of my face. That lying bastard told me it was for 'American Idol.'""I'd rather be playing Jimmy Buffett covers at a Holiday Inn," said Rubes. "Trouble is, there's no Holiday Inn in our town. And I can't play all those stupid chords to figure out that bullshit Margaritaville song - I just drink the fucking things.""I can't play drums well enough to play with a real band, so I keep inviting these scumbags over," said Doug. "Even if I can't play, I look so good that my drumming doesn't even matter. Chicks dig me."The band debuted in Willy's garage in May, 2007, giving the assembled drunks and stoners a Memorial Day to remember. Three of them were actually able to recall the performance the next day."We're the best band on Doug's block, at least I think we are," said Pistolero.Look out for FUBAND in a garage near you.
