Okay, so rather than give you all the hype and promo about my CD, my website, my 100% total BAD-ASS production skills and blah blah blah, let's do something a little different...First off, a big THANK YOU for coming by my page. If it's your first visit, I hope you'll come again--if you're making a return trip to my page then you get BIG LOVE because one of the hardest things to do nowadays is keep people's attention for longer than 3 seconds. Obviously I did or said something that made you want to come back and I appreciate that. So for the newbys, here's what you should/want/need to know about me:Unlike what appears to be a ridiculously increasing number of poor, disillusioned souls these days, I'm not out here trying to get rich on MySpace. I make a pretty good living without music but, like most people, I'd LOVE to make some extra change doing what I love and maybe even retire early! I just finished a CD that I'm pretty proud of. Big Vik Presents: INTRO is a really different kind of project and if you want to know more about it just visit my page at www.bigvikpresents.com. Experience has taught me, though, that people usually want to know a little more about YOU as a PERSON before they get all into your music if they've never heard of you before. Since much of what I've done in music has been behind the scenes till now, you probably haven't heard of me and don't know who I've produced or anything about me. You're welcome to check all that out by clicking on the resume -- but as for me...I'm just a cat that loves cool music and cool people. Moreso then selling music, I'm about establishing relationships with my community (notice I don't call them fans--I'm not a superstar, right?) and staying connected with the people that want to be connected with a philanderer--OOOOPS I mean a philanthropist such as myself. LMAO. Did I mention I'm a LOT of fun.I'm a WaterBender (If you don't know--you better ask somebody...preferably someone under 12 yrs old!). I was born and raised in Oakland and I've experienced things on the brighter side of life as well as the darker side. I think that gives me a unique outlook and perspective on things and I like to express that. At the same time, I don't take anything in life too seriously because life's just too short to trip on the small stuff. I love to engage other intelligent (and I stress INTELLIGENT) beings on everything from Health, Sports, Spirtuality, Love, Entertainment, Politics and just Life in general. Most people will tell you I'm a laid back cat who is easy to get along with. I believe variety is the spice of life and, for me, mixing things up is the key to happiness. What I mean by that is that I'm about balance and not being to extreme with anything. I support the AHA and healthy living, but I do like to party and drink like a rockstar. At the same time, you can find me at 24hr Fitness just about every afternoon in downtown Oakland (what's up to all my folks up at Harrison St!) but I also love to throw down burgers and pizzas and Krispy Kremes! I think TV is the number one cause of Brain-Death, but I love to veg-out on the couch and watch my favorite shows. Follow me now--I'm not about contradictions, I'm about balance. If you want to know more just ask. Above all I love to interact with like-minded (and even NOT-SO like-minded) peeps who can express beliefs and opinions with strong conviction while also having depth of thought enough to realize that none of us really has the answers. Really. While it is never my intention to offend, I will regularly post blogs that express how I feel about highly charged topics and may come off as uncompromising--I'm really not and I'd love for you to tell me why I'm wrong. Just keep it intelligent and without HATE and, whether I agree or disagree, I will show you love because in the end, that's what it's all about.Hey!
