Shirley Salyer

I was born in the mountains of eastern Kentucky to Elmer and Irene Slone, the oldest of twelve siblings. My husband Lloyd and I moved north to Ohio away from our beloved mountain home to seek work to support and raise our family. This album is also dedicated to those folks who have had to dedide between their home land and employment opportunities elsewhere. We must never let our circumstances in life get in the way of our memories of home.

This collection of songs were all inspired by actual events in our lives, some good, sometimes not so good. I have put this project off for several years, so I think it is now time to share my thoughts with others.
