Rah-P is a 21 year-old who truly knows what it means to struggle. Through sheer
raw talent coupled with a powerful and articulate voice she has been able to stake
her claim as the most successful female rapper in Uganda. Never one to sit back
and take a break, she invests all her money in helping her family and sending
herself to school, constantly striving to strengthen her mind and her situation.
This dual life makes for a fascinating and uplifting character study as we witness
her one minute dominating a freestyle rapping contest, and the next, thumping
out beats on a school desk during algebra class. It̢۪s impossible not to be dazzled
by her charm, confidence, and poise as she rises out of poverty and prejudice to
carve out a better life. Rah-P is currently residing in Houston, TX continuing her schooling and preparing to take on the Global music industry.Check her out in the new documentary by Brett Mazurek "Diamonds in the Rough" A Ugandan Hip Hop Revolution dropping in January.
In May 2007, she performed at the B-Connected Festival at the Hotel Arena , Amsterdam. She recently was aired on Power 106.7 FM in Los Angeles while promoting the Documentary Diamonds in The Rough and perfomed at the Roxy Club in Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles.
