at the age of 19, i was voted chairperson of philadelphia songwriters forum, years later i was awarded a trip to L.A. from a top music exec and received honorable recognition for my work within the music industry. i helped launch the world's largest music industry organization in the world now with over 42,000 members. www.justplainfolks.com. although i have phased out of "the scene," i still enjoy the community i helped to create and have met some great friends, AMAZING songwriters and the alike. i was awarded another trip to cali but haven't used it yet. thinking about going Nov 2008 for another music industry convention. Barbara McDonald and I are slated to go to Cali Nov 2008 and prepare material, songs and new ideas, etc.
this is Michael Laskow, President and proud (he should be) owner of Taxi.com, a very generous, selfless example of a moral man who gets me to L.A., Cali to enjoy a great time with songwriters... thank U Michael.

film music, breakbeat, ambient, experimental, short classical, and whatever the heck else i want. i have too many songs to post and it's tedious to post but i switch them up once in a while.. so here are a few. i collaborate/write music with Kenoka.. he's the masta of the golden gong, the chainsaw, and every-single-darn-noise-you-can-ever-put-on-a-file. in 2006, Kenoka composed & performed the entire original music score for "Consequences," Winner of "Best Thriller" New York International Independent Film and Video Festival Los Angeles!
musical influences: david byrne/talking heads, jason mraz, classic church hymns, sufjan stevens, toca rivera, debra davis, marina v, cranberries, sheryl crow, death cab/the postal service, U2, travis, fiona apple, police/sting, tweaker, kenoka, jack johnson, out of the grey, barbara mcdonald, poe, imogen heap, tweaker, brooke fraser, radiohead, no doubt, dang it i need to finish this later.
when it really comes down to it, it's mostly about the artist conveying the song.
