Hailing from Eastern Iowa, Kidnap the Sun is creating some head room in an ever expanding deadzone of hardcore music. Taking on new members along with new influences, the band is broadening their sound to a more captivating level of powerpop/punk/screamo than ever before. With the upcoming release of “Attention! I'm Alright": along with others, KTS is laying the ground work for the coming year. The six piece takes a stage with high energy, meaningful lyrics, and well placed crowd participation. In order to achieve their ambitions; Brent Whiting, Nick Barritt, Antonio Alvarez, AJ Vens, Drew Wood, and Justin Novak, are informed and influenced from bands like Chiodos and Taking Back Sunday, to Motion City Soundtrack and Forever the Sickest Kids. The band is currently anticipating heading into the studio to record a seven song EP featuring new music.
