Hello Everyone Big Q. here! As you can see I have changed my page! I had the opportunity to follow the success of Barack Obama. All I can say is, WOW. He is a person that inspires people with a divine vision and deep motivation to change the mind sets of everyone involved in the political process and the mindsets of all individuals under God in the United States. I believe we have forgotten the struggle and the reason for striving for a higher purpose in life.
Seeing Mr. Barack Obama at the Toyota Center in Houston confirmed my vision for 2008 and beyond. We can achieve anything we believe in, as long as our intentions are pure at heart. As you all know I have promoted several parties and events in Texas and never in my years of promoting have I seen such a movement for a Voting process.
The line to enter the Toyota Center wrapped around the entire facility four times. I was amazed but not surprised at the amount of people that turned out for Barack Obama. I saw it for myself and it had to be no less than 25,000 people inside and maybe another 5-6,000 outside…. 17,000 tickets were handed out and gone in one hour. I had a stand by ticket and stood in line three hours early.
And can you believe they even had people bootlegging and selling free tickets?The line of people that showed up after I did wrapped around the Toyota Center four times and lines were also created across the street on the side walk that stretched as far as I could see. I know there were at least 10,000 people in line behind me and I was on stand by for getting in.
They started letting people in at 6:00pm. I had no way of knowing if I would get in or not. Well at 7:55 I got in!!!! Yah … it’s all good now!
Before I walked in, I stepped back and took a good look at how many people were still waiting in line for this opportunity. (History in the making) I felt proud and lucky at the same time to take part in this event. I had a strong feeling of change!!! And the weird part is, I had not heard his speech yet. Just getting inside of the building made me believe that our future is bright. Looking back at all of the beautiful people in line ran chills up my spine to know that they wanted to be a part of this history making movement. I have never seen so many wonderful people with so much love in Texas.
Standing in the doorway made me realize the importance of the power of hop and change. WE all have a vision for success, no matter how big or small, that gives us a level of hope that wakes us up every morning. We all have the opportunity to dream big and put our vision in motion.
For 2008, I challenge everyone to dream big, believe in your dreams and believe in someone, who you know in your heart, can help you with your vision. I believe in Barack Obama. I believe his intentions are pure at heart and he really wants the best for everyone. The reality of it all is, it is up to us to help someone like him to see his vision come to fruition! So, I had to ask myself, “What am I doing to help someone like a Barack Obama, someone with that much passion, so that they can help me?†It is sad to say but my answer was, not much. I think we all lose focus from time to time and then something or someone comes along and gives us a reality check. I came to realize we get reality checks all the time but take the easy way out by making excuses and blaming others. I am saying this to get a point across, if you do not get involved in helping someone’s vision then how do you expect someone to help yours! I changed my page to remind everyone to VOTE EARLY and to remember to vote twice. First, you VOTE, and then you CAUCUS! Very important!!!! I have posted several videos on Obama that are worth watching, especially the Texas video. Just remember, voting is not to help Barack win…. voting is to help put someone like Barack in the position to help you and me! If we help someone with a bigger dream then and only then can we receive help with our own vision and dreams. Early voting is now!!! February 19- 29th. Don’t sleep on this opportunity….I will be voting this Sunday, February 24th . I would like every one who has not voted yet to join me this Sunday and vote, and then again on march 4th for the caucus. Let’s make it happen!!!!!
