Slim Reaper… A BIOGRAPHYDeGalane Williams was born in Tyler, TX on March 12th.. Although he was already a songwriter at the age of twelve in Tyler, it was when he moved to Seattle, Washington when he crafted his unique style of Southern Swagger mixed with West Coast realism, written with lyrics the average New Yorker could respect. After once being told that he was “killin' em on the mic", he started to go by the name of Slim Reaper. At the age of fourteen, he began to enter and win many local talent competitions where he shocked listeners with lyrics years beyond his young age. He, then, took a slightly different approach when, at the age of fifteen, he became the lead rapper in a local Seattle gospel group called Infusion. After branching off into more secular music with a local Seattle group called No Good Therapy, he opened for artist such as Jay-Z and 50 Cent on the “Roc The Mic Tourâ€, Eminem, Linkin Park, and Xzibit on the Anger Management Tour and performed at many events on the Lowrider Magazine Tour. He also collaborated with his cousin, Blaq Stallion’ to open for artists such as The Whispers, The Temptations, and the “Ja Rule Triple Platinum Tour†featuring Ludacris, Lil Mo, and Juvenile.Slim Reaper began to write lyrics at the age of 12 after being influenced by everyone from the Wu-Tang Clan to DJ Screw and the Screwed Up Click, to Jay-Z and Scarface. Already being an avid listener of hip-hop, he developed a passion for creating music from perspectives and views that most hip-hop artist fail to shine light on like aspects of growing up unfortunate that do not always consist of selling drugs, gang banging and killing people. He doesn’t “discrimi-hate†though, he also addresses those subjects. Don’t get it wrong, he can “spit it raw, talk greasy, and get crunk" with the best of them.Slim Reaper is a complete artist who has experienced the wear and tear of being on the road for extended periods of time and the mental strain of being in the studio for days at a time. He has the full support of his family and friends and is extremely loyal to them. With an undying love for music and undeniable stage presence, Slim Reaper is more than ready to take on an industry unprepared for him.
