Singer/Songwriter Joi Patrice is a soulful vocalist with a passion for writing songs that reflect situations many young women face everyday. With a unique soprano Joi strives to connect with audiences with her gospel, R&B and Hip Hop inspired music. Born and raised in Oakland, California in a respected musical family, Joi Patrice is destined to share her gift to audiences from the Bay to the rest of the world.♥
Joi made her singing debut at the age of five years old. Joi sang for thirteen years all over the Bay Area with First Morning Star's award winning youth choir. This experience trained her ear for harmonies, built her stage presence and influences her style of writing circular songs.♥
While in college Joi began networking with various rappers, singing and writing on their recordings. This led to a working relationship with many Bay Area artists such as JT the Bigga Figga, Keak the Sneak, Celly Cell, Rappin-4-Tay and Sean-T just to name a few.♥
Today as a divorced mother of one son, Joi is still has a powerful voice and a passion for writing about love and life from the perspective of independent women. She hopes to share the trials and the joys of women looking for love, looking for happiness and most importantly, looking for self.♥
