Multi-talented and Ukraine born Era Chorna is undoubtedly one of Toronto's best. She's travelled all over the world, and her music shows it. She's an award winning singer, ballet dancer, and choreographer, as well as a model.Era has a deep, rich, yet soothing voice that has clear jazz and opera influences, with a voice far beyond and more distinct than her opera house background.She received extensive ballet training from some of Europe's top and most prestigious ballet studios, including the Ukrainian Ballet Academy and the Vienna Ballet Conservatory.Era has performed, and competed, in front of a number of international audiences, including Ukraine, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, USA, and Canada.She has performed in places such as the "Moscow Nights", where she played original compositions, Cadillac Fairview Gala, performing some of her 30 original and cover songs, the "Rondo Night Club", as the singer of the jazz band "Softstream Quintet","Urania Theatre" in Berlin, "Millennium Theatre" in New York City and much more. In 2008 she won 1-st place at international vocalists competition “Star Chance†in New York City, U.S.A and Special award from HTB-America TV Channel.She received a spacial price from international foundation 'MEDEK' in Germany.Has also worked with the Modern Dance Company in Toronto, under choreographer Robert Desrosiers. Era is working on putting together a new band, as well as working on an upcoming solo album release" Sweet Minds". She is a founder of independent artist foundation and record label "One World". She is also working on an original contemporary jazz musical, "Love As Colour", which combines her love for singing, dancing,music and poetry. Keep an eye out for the album release.
