Dino dos Santos was born on july18, 1968 in the city of Londrina, northern part of the state of Parana in Brazil. He is the third son of Nelson dos Santos and Maria T. dos Santos, who gave him the name Ednaldo dos Santos.In 1977 the family moved to Jacareí, where Dino was raised among the mountains, rivers, animals, and sugar cane fields of humble origins, he began to work on a farm harvesting tomatoes and other vegetables.At the time Dino was only 9 years old child when he discovered a small circus, where the ringmaster was also the trapeze artist and in charge of the ticket booth. His wife was a contortionist and sold popcorn and their children were acrobats.This universe fascinated him and he was enchanted with it. He and his cousin Ivair watched the show, which included a contest to see who could balance on a board on a cylinderTo the surprise of many in the crowd, they won the contest, and won tickets to see the show again the next day.From that day on they were both at the circus every day! That’s where Dino’s mind was opened to the artists… the artists that inspired him and taught him to be a great acrobat.Aside from the universe of the circus, Dino worked as a mechanic for a big company, but that had nothing to do with the world he dreamed of.When Dino was 19 he discovered the “space circusâ€?, and irresistibly went in and boldly asked if they needed an acrobat. The answer was yes.All the circus artists were seated in the bleaker to watch Dino. As he was already trained in the art of capoeira and Olympic gymnastics, he grabbed this opportunity tooth and tong, got inspired and leaped and jumped all over the ring showing all he knew.The result was better than expected as he was hired on the spot and began the same night, where he would appear with two other acrobats. That night his dreams began to come true together with a new challenge and road. He performed in every show for four weeks.Everyone in town who knew him saw the show, which now had one of it’s home town boys in the ring. A boy who would go wherever the show went, as from that moment on, in his mind – “the show must go onâ€?!Dino also did shows in the capital of São Paulo for a 6 month stint, with an average of 3000 spectators per show. It was a hit.In one of the shows, Dino was contracted by an agency to do a special act where he would jump from the top of a 12 story building dressed as Michelangelo, one of ninja turtles. The jump would be to promote the premier of the film ninja turtles. The event would also include a fight scene, where Dino received a choreographed hit on the eyebrow and had to get 6 stitches.While the doctor was treating Dino they were surprise by the reporters and Dinos’s picture came out in different newspapers.One this great adventure Dino was introduced to the world of entertainment and many entertainers, and traveled thought out Brazil.He then worked with one of the Brazilians TU – stations- SBT promoting the American films that came to Brazil with their distributors such as Fox films and Warner bros. He also appeared on operated globo TV shows “globo reporterâ€? and “fantástico&�

o;? which was sponsored by the gout of São Paulo and lasted for 1 year.In April of 1996,Dino moved to Israel with his wife and son to work the American Cinema who was doing several projects there.They spent 2 months in a (which was a center t aid new immigrants) where Dino took the opportunity to learn hebrew as well as hone his physical preparation.He worked with SABAN, the creators of power rangers and VR troopers, as well as hones his physical preparation.Then came a period of extreme political instability, military conflicts and terrorist threats and all production was cancelled, no more cinema, not one production.Being thus, Dino had to go to work at reconstructing houses together with Arabs and Palestines, working as a bricklayer’s assistant, from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm in Jerusalem. Dino lived in Tel Aviv.Dino finished his work, but didn’t get paid for it.In 1998 looking for work outside the arts, Dino worked in a steak house and became a specialist in technique of meat cuts, also working at the grill and as a waiter.Aside from this Dino was a security guard at the door of a Brazilian club in the port area of Tel Aviv. For 2 months and would later give capoeira and samba shows.Until one night, when the restaurant had contracted dancers for New Years Eve, who didn’t show up. The owner asked Dino to do the show. From that point on, Dino became waiter and showman. He worked in the club until 1999, when he heard there would be a test to be Antonio Banderas’ double in the film “the bodyâ€? an American/Israeli production.There he met Patrick Cauderlier, a French doubles coordinator who would be in charge of the action scenes for the film. There were several acrobatic and fight tests made with the doubles that applied.The filming lasted three months.There was a post shooting party for the film with Antonio Banderas and the producers of the film, and at this party Dino found out that Antonio Banderas would begin shooting another film in Mexico and the only way to work with him would be to go to USA.Before going, Dino traveled to Brazil to visit family and friends he hadn’t seen for years.On January 8th. , 2000 Dino arrived in Los Angeles. All the production crew of “the bodyâ€? had already traveled to Mexico.On January 9 he traveled to Mexico, was able to talk with producer Michel Glick and negotiated his participation in the film; as Antonio Banderas’ double.The answer was no because they had all ready hired a stuntdouble for Antonio ,He was from Mexico and local hire cost much less for the production,at this time Dino was on his own ,Dino went to the studios Churrubusco everyday to find out who he had to talk to ,and convince the producer to let the mexican double go and hired him.After two weeks Dino went walk around the studios and so Antonio talking to one of his assitente that reconized Him and start to talk to him and asked him close to Antonio what was going on with the producer,so they went over and Antonio spoke with the producer ,that and got Dino the job.During the finalizing of the film Dino gave a capoeira exhibition at the film studio and was seen by Angelina Jolie, who asked Dino to trainer her, as she needed to prepare for the film tomb raider. They trained 3 times a week for 2 months. Dino also met actor Jon Voight, Angelina’s father.During his last week in Mexico Antonio asksd Dino to participated in spy kids, a Robert Rodrigues film that included names like George Clooney, Danny Trejo, Carla Gugino. This was an included 12 big name artist in the market.One scene would be using a support vest for high altitude falls, this one 180 feet – holding hands with a double for Carla Gugino. The doubles were hooked to a 5 millimeter steel cable. This scene is in the beginning of the film, where Antonio Bandera’s marries CG and they parachute into a boat.In every film that Dino has worked as Antonio Banderas’ double he has gained valuable experience. They have made 13 films and 1 commercial together, and there’s more to come…
