Audio Spectrum is proud to announce the return of the Americana Music Festival for 2008. From a handful of bands at its inaugural event in 2005, Americana Fest has steadily grown every year. This year marks its most ambitious undertaking yet, with events covering three days and multiple venues.
What is Americana Music? Americana is a loose subset of American roots music that is perhaps best defined as "classic American music" ranging in style from folk, country blues, bluegrass, alternative country, rockabilly, neo-traditional and roots rock.
The 2008 Americana Music Festival kicks off Thursday, August 28, with a “Mix and Mingle Happy Hour" at Prosperity Social Club followed by live music from Bobby Lanphier and the Bitter Disappointments. On Friday, August 29, there will be two shows: one at Sachsenheim Hall with headliners Rambler 454, and a Songwriter Showcase, presented by Dangus Kincaid Records, at the Hi-Fi in Lakewood. The Americana Music Festival wraps up on Sunday, August 31, with headliner Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics, at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern. There will be a BBQ in the parking lot, and the Beachland’s two stages will feature twelve local/regional bands.
Americana Fest 2008 Schedule of Events:
Thursday, August 28: the First Annual Audio Spectrum Family Reunion at Prosperity Social Club, 1109 Starkweather Avenue in Tremont. This free event will include a "Mix and Mingle Happy Hour" from 7pm-9pm followed by live music from Bobby Lanphier and the Bitter Disappointments.
Friday, August 29: A show will be presented at the Sachsenheim Hall, 7001 Denison Avenue in Cleveland

Sunday, August 31: The 2008 Americana Music Festival wraps up with hours of music and fun at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, 15711 Waterloo Road in Cleveland. Headlining will be Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics. There will be two stages, 12 bands, BBQ and Beer to keep you busy all day! Schedule of events:
