Martin Perry

About Me

Originally from Greenwich in South London, Martin Perry moved to Dorset and then Hampshire before settling in Newport on the Isle of Wight. A bizarrely diverse working life -from nearly 10 years as a London firefighter to legal adviser to computer sales to office worker - one thing has remained constant; his love of music. Over the years Martin has played in several bands playing everything from blues to soul. He became frontman for blues/rock bands The Distributors and later on Chameleon. Martin is now concentrating on playing and performing the music he loves; laid back acoustic folk and blues. He writes his own material as well as playing covers in his own individual style. His guitar work has been described as sublime (especially after a few pints of Tanglefoot). Here are a few of his own songs for you to listen to. Also included is an electric version of his song Comin' Home that Martin recorded with former Chameleon band mates Gary Murphy (drums) and Wade Geary (bass). Not looking to be 'discovered' Martin is just looking to meet a few friends, get a few gigs and play music. Martin is available for bookings at festivals, gatherings, weddings, funerals, hotels, wine bars, nice pubs, private functions, expenses paid world tours etc etc. Also available if you are a musician and need some backing on guitar etc. If you need any more info or want a CD please don't hesitate to contact him. Martin is also an experienced photographer having had his work published in a number of publications so he is also available for assignments/shoots etc.
