Originating from Ghana, Africa, Mark is a real multi-instrumentalist who besides playing percussion also plays drums, guitar, bass and keyboards. In his childhood Mark was singer and drummer in Church. Than as a teenager he studied Traditional Druming and Dancing at the Youth Art Concil located in Accra/Ghana.
In 1998 Mark started to play with "Herbert Grönemeyer" and has been a member of his band ever since. In 2003 Mark was busy touring with Grönemeyer on his sold-out stadium tour "Mensch" and can be seen on homonymous DVD. Grönemeyer's latest CD "Mensch" became one of the most successful German albums ever. It sold 8x platinum in Germany, 6x platinum in Austria, and 5x platinum in Switzerland. 2004 Mark will continue the "Mensch" tour adding some spice and flavor to Grönemeyer's Rock Songs and Ballads. At the moment Mark is involved in the studio-sessions of Grönemeyers new album, followed by a new stadion tour in summer 2007 the germany, Austria and Switzerland.
During all the time Mark hits the road with Howard Capendale, and also with "Me and the Heat" (The most successful cover- and partyband in the Rhein-Neckar-Area). You can listen to Mark (almost) every Wednesday at the Session Kulturwerk in Walldorf.
