The Element

About Me

Before James Brown got on the good foot and invented funk music, there was nothing like it. Before Carlos Santana gave American pop music a Latin flavor, nothing sounded that way. Just as jazz, rock and rap music have all pushed the boundaries of their time, the New York-based band The Element is stepping in by taking elements of Funk, Hip Hop, Afro- Cuban, and Pop to produce a dynamic new sound.

Simply put…The Element is a brutal collision of Bronx beats, Brooklyn soul, and fierce uptown swagger.
The Element exists for its live concerts and pulls out all the stops on stage - no one in the band sits still for a moment. Their shows feature hot vocals, tight horn arrangements, raucous percussion, slick instrumental solos and breezy dance movements - all designed to sweep the audience off their feet and into the groove.
The joy and energy of the band is infectious. With their colorful clothes, irrepressible stage presence and playful moves, this is a band as much fun to watch as to listen to. And that is The Element's mission: to bring a total excitement to live music that has been far too lacking in recent years. Their music and energy transcend all boundaries and tastes. No one leaves an Element show without a smile on their face
The Element released their third album, "Future Proof" in early 2007
