From day one James knew he wanted to be a singer. His parents exposed him to music at an early age, from gospel, to R&B, and his grandmother introuced him to the blues. Everyone from B.B. King, Little Milton to Bobby Blue Bland. Over the years, James joined numerous singing groups, but always felt something was missing, he eventually would hook up with a young underground R&B singing group called "ENTITY from Oakland, Ca. After meeting Shawn Hollingsworth P.K.A. (MOK), and Simon Stewart P.K.A. Si'm Styles it was official James Gibson the Flint, Michigan native and self proclaimed R&B Thug would become the 3rd member of the group. While mixing the soul and drum driven inspirations of Stewart and the Italian opera inspired mind of Hollingsworth "ENTITY'S early productions were dark and experimental. After a short run of trying to find producers, complicated with a lack of money, Stewart had to rely on being a self taught producer armed with only his instinct, his ear, and his soul. "ENTITY" quickly began recording their 1st promotional CD entitled “LOCKED DOORSâ€. Since then the group has received good local radio support with their first two singles: “Fever†feat. Mistah F.A.B of Oakland, Ca and S.E.X. They have also performed in numerous venues opening for artists such as: Ciara, Ne-Yo, Raphael Saadiq, 112, EnVogue, Letoya Luckett, Dwayne Wiggins, Petey Pablo, The Team, Lil Scrappy, Bell Biv Devoe, Trina, Nina Sky, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Kid Capri, The Federation, and Frankie Beverly. Their title track “Locked Doors†was also picked up by VH1’s “Love Monkeyâ€. Entity also co-wrote and is featured on the debut single from 15 year old Hip-Hop artist “YS†entitled “High School Wifey†(Sony / BMG) as well as the 2nd single featuring “Grand†on Da Sak Is Still Fatt Vol.2 (Bungalo / Universal). James Gibson has also been busy working on his solo debut and record Label G.L.H. Music / GIB ENT. with whom he has started with other artists. He has currently just recorded with San Francisco's " HUSTLE BOYZ', and B.T.H. Bravez Team Hyphy. James Gibson knows the music industry is a ever changing entity, and won't stop, until he reaches the top.
