NORM BOND is a marketer, activist, change agent, media spokesperson, talk radio host, and video producer. He is president of NORMBOND & Associates , a strategic marketing, advertising, promotions and video production company (see sample below). His specific marketing experience includes broadcast media, print, radio, electronic communications and live events. He conceptualizes and produces corporate and promotional videos, customized DVD’s, and other digital media products.
In 2008, the nation's oldest Black newspaper, The Philadelphia Tribune, recognized Norm as one of the City's "African American Leaders." He is president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Alliance of Market Developers . Under his leadership the chapter has grown its membership, expanded its range of programs and events, and raised the bar of excellence for other NAMD chapters across the country by becoming the perennial “Chapter of the Year.â€
Bond chairs the marketing, media and public relations committee for the Philadelphia Millions More Movement and co-hosts the organization’s radio show on 900AM WURD along with Mr. Kenny Gamble , the legendary co-founder of Philadelphia International Records. He is also the former host of “In the Black,†an internet-based radio program which aired on The Harambee Radio Network .
A professional consultant and speaker, Norm is recognized as an international authority on marketing, corporate diversity, sales and multicultural issues. His clients and advertisers have included Microsoft Corporation, Cingular Wireless, IBM Corporation, DaimlerChrysler, and Mercedes Benz USA. In 1996, he co-founded and launched the first internationally distributed publication on diversity, titled NEXT STEP Magazine, and later partnered with Business Week on the special feature, “Diversity: Making the Business Case†which reached 6 million readers. In 1999, he founded and organized the first ever “National Diversity Week.†He earned an undergraduate degree with a dual major in business and economics and also holds a master’s degree in information science - both from the University of Pittsburgh.
