Socialist Party Of Great Britain

About Me

Well, hello there! We may be a new kid on the MySpace block, but as a Party we're a robust 103 year old, born in the year 1904. The ghosts of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels appeared in the dreams of 142 hardy souls and urged them to ditch the reformism of the time and forge a new Party - The Socialist Party of Great Britain . Sound advice, indeed, but it didn't stop there. At the behest of Karl and Freddie, The Socialist Party has consistently argued for the abolition of the wages system; has rejected all forms of nationalism and advocated a world without borders; has completely opposed the idea of leadership since 1904; and has opposed both the phoney 'socialism' of the Labour Party and the state-capitalist dictatorship of the Soviet Union. Not to mention publishing the Socialist Standard every month. And now we have a page on MySpace!
