Tacoma Tide

Tacoma F.C. is an American soccer team, founded in 2006. The team is a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League(PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, and plays in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference against teams from Abbotsford and Vacouver, Canada, as well as teams from Ogden, Provo, Salem, Spokane and Yakima.We were introduced into the league at very short notice in 2006 when it was announced that the now defunct Spokane Shadow franchise were suspending operations for the season. We recently chose the name Tacoma Tide, but our bright yellow home jerseys have prompted fans to refer to us by that color during our first season.We play home matches in the stadium at Curtis Senior High School in the city of University Place, Washington, six miles west of downtown Tacoma .
