restless world traveller, hard working, easy laughter. need to learn everything, to understand everything, to know it all, and severely upset at the day only lasting 24 hours. (damn it!). music addicted by nature, caribbean citizen under the sehnsucht of sand, seafood and waves. subdued to old latin music from 1950s (boleros), scandinavian post-rock, middle east electronica, hindi pop, tracy chapman, cranberries, concrete, jay-jay johansson, bjork, regina spektor, the bliss, luftkastellet, and a big ETC (please see the list). into politics by coincidence, artist by heart, oil academic by pragmatism, latinamericanist by passion. not a smoker, but always enjoyed sunsets in a balcony sitting next to someonethat does, sipping wine. (oporto or malbec). sufferer of severe attention deficit disorder since i seem to have a million thoughts per second in my head, but when it comes to paying attention, a cobra's look may seem childish. romatic, sure, but only to those who deserve it. cold-blodded at times. ice-braker. diplomatic but sharp. decisive when least expected. dont believe in violence, fights, hard discussions or vengeance, but if messed with, i could wait 10 years just to get back to that person. not vengeance i said, just equality. lover of diversity. of dissent and agreement. of differences and exchange. lover of old books' smell, candle lights, cat purrs, take-offs and landings. dreaming of having time-zones as my only address. social justice is high on the list. no religion, but found myself at prayer times in temples of around 8 of them. dedicated uncle. tidyness freak but like making messes. been in love. been hurt. i've hurt as well. learnt the art of patience in asia, the art of contemplation and visceral love in latinamerica, the art of thoroughness in europe, the art of memory in the middle east, but still, so many arts and only one single lifetime...
