Heather Drive, who was arrested Friday, allegedly told the complaint ant to "watch your back" in a phone call shortly after an investigator with the Louisiana Contractor Licensing Board called to discuss the complaint, Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Patrick Yoes said. Brondum, who was released on $1,000 bond Friday, denied any wrong-doing."I never once threatened anybody. Jun. 6, 2007 "If he wants to hire you as a subcontracted plumber or electrician BEWARE. He claimed he could not pay because he was being sued by the homeowner. This was after he work was completed. Then he turned around and did the same thing to another plumber and an electrician on another job claiming that he was being sued by the homeowner and could not pay. Homeowners need to be aware that they can have a lein put on their home if the contractor does not pay the subs." ............................................................ ............................................................ ......................................................... Apr. 26, 2007 "Steve Brandum demanded a lot of money up front and did very little work. The work he did is terrible. He formed a slab with plywood and no footing. Has pylons 4 inches above slab that were never cut. The slab is in no way level and off in some place by 6 inches. The entire slab has to be busted out according to the State Licensing Board Director that came out to investigate the complaint. The State Licensing Board said this was the worst slab they have ever seen and they are investigating this guy on over 5 complaints of taking a lot of money and doing very little work. Please beware of hiring this guy. He works with out the proper licenses and doesn't get permits."
