Ioannis Vafeas was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1970. In 1994 he graduated from Berklee College and in 1998 from the Boston Conservatory with a masters degree in jazz studies. Ever since he has been an active musician performing and teaching music. Ioannis is a member of The Charis Ioannou Trio, The Petsteppers, The Cyprus Big Band and The Outer Soul Ensemble. As a freelance musician he has performed music for theater, t.v shows, radio, jingles, and appears on many c.d's.
Due to these collaborations Ioannis has performed music in Italy, U.S, Greece, Serbia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Polland and Cyprus.
