I just want to sing a song with you.

About Me

I am a work in progress. Little about me is consistent. Something about me changes almost daily.
I derrive motivation from the most unlikely of sources and usually lose it the next day. I wallow in self-pity and depression until I become fed up with myself, then bounce back into high gear for a few weeks before the cycle repeats. Not the most effective way to live a life, but as I said, I'm a work in progress. Therefore, that tedious cycle may not exist tomorrow. I am loving to all--even the homophobic and the quick-to-judge. My favorite films of all time are The Nines and Chaos Theory. I crave a land without borders, with no racism or discrimination. Music is my life raft. My friends are the most inspirational and encouraging and beautiful people I've ever met. I am one of the most forgiving people you'll ever meet. I'm opposed to violence. Alanis Morissette is my biggest spiritual inspiration, and Ryan Reynolds is my intellectual inspiration.
Alex Dezen of The Damnwells- "Closer Than We Are"
Alanis Morissette- No Pressure Over Cappuccino
"Better than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace."
-Buddha
"There are few things more chaotic than the beat of a human heart. Speeding up, slowing down. A pretty face, a flight of stairs. It's always changing depending on what's happening to us out there. It's an erratic son of a bitch. But underneath all of that bump-a-da-bump bullshit, there's an underlying pattern. A truth. And that's love. The most important thing about love is that we choose to give it and we choose to receive it, making it the least random act in the entire universe. It transcends blood. It transcends betrayal. And it transcends all of the dirt that makes us human."
-Chaos Theory
I tried to bet on your winsome frown with sad Irish luck.

My Interests

Just about anything is an interest to me, really. Listening to music, writing, role playing, hanging out with my friends, exploring different people and cultures, learning, etc. I've recently taken up a passion for cooking, though I'm really nothing special. I like searching for new ways to better myself, pinpointing character traits I feel need to change, then seeking the proper way to make the necessary modifications.

I'd like to meet:

Ryan Reynolds, Alanis Morissette, Dane Cook, Steve Carell, Gerard Butler, Ellen DeGeneres, Philip Roth, everyone in the bands on my top friends, and the cast of Roseanne and Fresh Prince.

A change of plans

My mother and I have been doing some calling around, talking, and plotting over the past week or so. This is what I’m doing:1) Rather than waiting until I turn 18 to get my GED, I’m going ...

I need to write this down.

If this becomes long, I apologize. I really just need to write all of this down. That way, if I ever lack motivation, I can turn here and read everything that I plan to do. Sometimes, the ability to l...

Thank you, dear anonymous.

You are no one to me. You are no one of significance. You are no one I wish to know. You are no one I wish to be associated with. You are not the you I once knew. But I would like to thank yo...

Ramblings of a contemplative teen

It is always a bit of a disappointment to see things slide by unnoticed. As a child, everything I did was either basked in praise or barraged with remarks of utter disappointment--"You can do better,...

I really don't have very much to say at the moment, but I felt the need to update. Again, as I have said many times before, forgive me if I ramble. I tend to start these things thinking I have little ...

"We've got to get better," I said. "It's all in your head..."

Wow. There's so much that I could write in here, though nothing new has really happened. I will try not to ramble, but I can't make any promises on that.   Exhausted is now the best way to descri...

Tonight was possibly the best night of my life.

And do you know why? 1) My hair was being so very nice to me, it was almost unreal. 2) I sang better than ever before. I'm really making progress with my voice, and I'm so proud of myself. 3) I listen...

Hello. I swear I won't be too long

Tonight, I've released something that I've held inside for a long time. Anger. Anger towards anyone. Towards everyone. I've let it go, and I feel so relieved. I lay it down before me, at God's f...
