About Me

Known throughout the industry to be a humble talent, “Bud’da” (pronounced Butta) has left a footprint in both of the biggest entertainment worlds, the music and movie industry. Stephen “Bud’da” Anderson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he also began his career in the music industry performing at the impressive age of 13. “Ever since I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was make good music. Throughout the years, I’ve learned that the key to true success is to do what you love.” Bud’da’s big break occurred when he produced five hit tracks on Ice Cubes celebrated album “Bow Down”. The earthshaking title track “Bow Down” made Bud’da a reputable producer having revitalized the West Coast Hip Hop music sound”.
After a successful launch, the critically acclaimed Dr. Dre wanted to bring Bud’da even further into the history of hip hop by featuring snippets of a Bud’da produced track in the beginning and at the end of the hit video known to be the West Side’s theme song “California Love” featuring the late Tupac Shakur. Talent recognizes talent as Dr. Dre signed Bud'da and commenced to placing six Bud’da tracks one being "Been There Done That" on his next platinum selling record, “Dr. Dre presents the Aftermath.” Working with a myriad of Hip Hop and R&B artists to the likes of Xzibit, Nas, Timberland, Snoop Dog, Eric Benet, Shanice, Lenny Kravitz and Dawn Robinson, Bud’da signed with Blackground Records to produced three songs for the late great Aaliyah, and seven tracks for Tank’s platinum album “Force of Nature.” One of Bud’da track from Force of Nature “Put Your Hands Up” was added to the “Exit Wounds” soundtrack which was one of his doors into the movie and television industry.
Next up was Disney who assigned Bud’da to score “The Proud Family” animated television series. Bud’da had now made a name in the movie industry and the WB Network enlisted him to compose their animated series called “The Boom Crew”. As a result of his early breakthroughs, Bud’da later worked with both Spike Lee and Bill Duke on the television miniseries “Miracle’s Boys” entertaining Spike Lee to call upon Bud’da to score his wife’s 2006 show “That’s What I’m Talking About”. Currently, Bud’da is working with Disney on their upcoming television program called “As the Bell Rings” and his artist on his record label "Bout Time Entertainment" nevertheless Bud’da is always looking for projects that can stimulate him artistically.
