Born in January 26, 1987, in Stockton, California, Michael Pham was a very bright but curious child growing up. He was the second youngest of two brothers and three sisters. With many siblings competing to become the favorite of his parents, Michael eventually, at the age of five, gained the title of "The Favorite" of his parents with the help of blackmail and extortion. Because of his curiosity and frequent bad behavior, he often got into trouble with his parents and received many timeout punishments where he learned about the hardships of life. Michael was enrolled for his kindergarten education at Harrison Elementary but was soon transferred to John Adams Elementary where he befriended many people and formed great, lasting friendships. Michael was very popular and admired in his elementary school among his friends, especially by his female friends. Several girls in his school developed intense crushes on him and every year, he would always receive the majority of Valentine cards and candy. As a result, Michaels male friends often got jealous and felt inferior to him. But this did not affect their great friendships that they had formed. Why so many girls had crushes on him during his elementary school years continues to be a mystery today. During elementary school, Michael was a very successful student where he received many As and also gained the respect of his fellow peers and teachers. He was even the first student in his class to write the letter Z, in both uppercase and lowercase, in cursive which was a great accomplishment of his time. Michael also participated in the school band playing the clarinet where he performed in several school concerts. After finishing 5th grade, Michael left John Adams Elementary to enroll into a new school that was closer to home called Rio Calaveras
