Formed in 1993, the Shoecrackers of Bethlehem (S.O.B.) are one of several bands that tore up the Los Angeles music scene throughout the 1990s. They were at the forefront of a movement that brought youth to the Sunset Strip at a time when things were getting stale. The Shoecrackers hailed from the San Fernando Valley and performed to sold out crowds at L.A.'s biggest clubs strictly by word of mouth.
The Shoecrackers deliver fast paced melodies carefully laid out over driving rhythms and heart stopping percussion. When it comes to slower tracks, the Shoecrackers have it covered. Songs like "Headtrip," and "Woodstock" bring you to a rich, blues-inspired place that any moron can appreciate. These tracks deliver the kind of groove that you so desperately desire. But they're quick to take you straight back to the heavy stuff so you can resume banging your head against all the dirty hippies who used to be your friends.
With a sound that hints of ghosts of L.A. bands of the past like Janes Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Shoecrackers of Bethlehem receive the Aggronation stamp of approval.
