ONCE SOLEMN were founded in 2003 by Wolfgang "Wolfi" Baumann, Uwe "Schwadi" Schwaderer, Wolfgang "Schnauz" Winter and Timo "Ratz" Schütz in 2003 Heilbronn Germany.
The sound of the band can be described as raw death metal deeply rooted in the 90..s.
In 2005 they recorded their first songs and after that, ONCE SOLEMN did their first self made video to "serenade for a lost world".
After some local shows, the recordings for their first available CD "pain within" started in 2006.
The band was very proud to support BELPHEGOR, Polands BEHEMOTH and a legend in Death Metal UNLEASHED from Sweden in Germany.
In may 2009, the band decided to add a second voice to move on with the sound of ONCE SOLEMN. Fortunately, they found the perfect match in Chris "Insane" Fischer a local hero and friend of the band.
Deep growling and a punky clean voice is what Chris adds to a new steam rolling OS musical destruction.
Right now, the band is busy writing new songs and rehearsing for some live shows.
