"In response to a somewhat tired variety of writing camps "The Factory" is born. The Warhol reference travels beyond the name and brands the occasion as an evening of avant guarde creation, as the "factory" was where the art was made. Held at a different location every month, The Factory is an invite-only event, with the location disclosed only days before the affair. Guests that have been invited run the gamut from Grammy award winning songwriters, composers of critically acclaimed Broadway shows, and singers of popular buzz bands, to producers responsible for helping sell 25 million of the hottest hip-hop albums in recent years. Those invited also include New York City tastemakers, the nightlife's hottest DJ's, and scenester photographers snapping proof of the entire event.
