Marco V announces new artist album: Propaganda
Marco V is considered to be one of the most influential producers of our time, with his music proving to be a driving force in shaping the modern tech-trance arena. His influence over a generation of fellow producers and DJs artists is quite unheard of with many touting Marco has THE reason they’re in dance music today.
Now he’s back, with his fourth studio album and the first in over three years, Propaganda. For a man whose touch has been so potent, he couldn’t have picked a more appropriate title. Spanning trance, techno, progressive and a more chilled out sound, this is Marco V at his best. From the outset it’s clear this is a master at work. Whether it’s the huge tech-trance offering of Unprepared, which is tellingly climbing the UK’s Buzz Charts as we speak, or the delicately crafted and beautifully produced The Man Who Was There, Marco’s distinctive handprint is on each and every piece.
At every turn Marco displays his coveted ability to blend together multi-faceted layers and lines of music from any genre. From throbbing progressive track Ritual Purification to Digital Identity, which borders on psy-trance, to the main room, peak-time club banger A Journey Into Sound, there’s not one second on this album where Marco lets up.
Taking you on an emotional journey, Propaganda soars from epic monsters like Coma Aid through to underground tribal trancers such as Treviso. As fast as you can catch your breath he takes it away again, and by the time he signs off with techno demolisher WRC Theme, you’re left begging for more.
…and more is exactly what you get with Marco V. Pushing the concept of the artist album further, Marco has collaborated with hot UK illustrator Vee Ladwa. Having previously collaborated with Lethal Bizzle and worked on projects such as Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four, Vee was bought on board by Marco to add a very special twist to Propaganda. Of course we’re not going to spoil the surprise, but suffice to say, this is one album that really WILL leave you on a cliff-hanger!

Be Yourself Music
Founded in 2005, Be Yourself Music is an independent record company focused mainly on dance music.
Be Yourself Music is the mother ship, the head quarters, the control room, for its 4 main labels: Big & Dirty Records, Dirty Soul Music, High Contrast Recordings with sister label High Contrast Nu Breed and Marco V’s In Charge Records, which all aim to release high quality dance music varying from club tracks to cross-over material. Furthermore Be Yourself Music also owns and controls the large ID&T Music Back catalogue, including classics as: ‘Airwave’ and ‘Awakening’ by Rank 1, ‘Godd’ and Simulated’ by Marco V, Superstring from Cygnus X and ‘Twisted’ and ‘The Beauty of Silence’ from Svenson and Gielen to name a but a few.

Big & Dirty Records
It’s the bigboynoize, yeah baby! Big Beats and Dirty Sounds, that’s what the Big & Dirty style is all about. From nasty electro influenced house beats to minimal melodic noises, we leave room for everything in-between to join forces.

Dirty Soul Records
Don’t we all have some dirtiness deep down in our souls?! The name says it all , dirty edged house music with a soulful favour to it. The flow, the groove, the vibe…, good quality house music is what we look for.

High Contrast Records
In the ever changing face of dance music, there are few labels who can lay claim to holding a consistent track record in the spawning of impeccable music that caters to a vast spectrum of music aficionados. High Contrast, a sibling from the Be Yourself Music house, is one that can.
High Contrast is the label where big room music is born; not once or twice a year, but all year round. Its catalogue of successes is vast, and the backbone behind it is equipped with an arsenal of dance music knowledge, achievements and experience carried over from ID&T’s music era.

The ethos behind High Contrast is reflective in its very name; the showcasing of ‘high’ quality, ground breaking music across a ‘contrast’ of different genres. It really doesn’t matter if a track is tech house, techno, trance, electro, or whatever. If it makes a good record, and the quality is sublime, it’s make the grade for release on High Contrast.

Release No: 1 on High Contrast was Ernesto vs. Bastian’s ‘Dark Side of The Moon’, which was endorsed on an international scale; an impeccable start for any new label. Releases followed from some of the biggest players in electronic dance music, including tracks from Paul van Dyk (Benelux), Marcel Woods, Rank 1, Ronald van Gelderen, Nic Chagall, Joop, Jochen Miller and more.

High Contrast will have shed its 50th release in January 2008 and its future looks brighter than ever. Fully supported by the tastemakers of dance music that include Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Eddie Halliwell, there is no doubt that High Contrast has a lengthy shelf life.

In Charge Records
The man in charge of this label needs no introduction. With his distinguished sound and continuously looking to further develop his music, Marco V has made his mark on the global dance scene the last few years. The In Charge label mainly releases Marco’s material, but certainly leaves room for other good music that suits the label.
