Sounds Like: Debuting our second cd, Champagne Promises, is the tongue and cheek title for our long awaited second album release. The title track of song 2 on our cd, is tantamount to endless promises we’ve made of having it finished year after year. It was last, in 2002, that we released The girl I used to be. In 2003, Gary enjoyed a little fame and fortune with his co-written effort for a very famous Pop Princess. I won’t say who, for fear of people associating our musical styles, but I will say the she performed it it at the MTV Music Awards and finished the number while laying a big smooch on the other co-writer and famous pop diva! Remember now?! So our band released a few singles, Summer and The Room that enjoyed a stay on satellite’s XM radio. We didn’t expect that it would be nearly a decade later before we made another cd. Perhaps somewhere, someone broke a mirror, or maybe the itch became so unbearable we finally scratched. It’s been seven years after all. Several rumors have circulated as to how the band has spent the last several years. One theory is rumored to have had the band riding the coattails of Gary’s musical windfall. Spending such lackadaisical afternoons playing leisure sport activities like croquet, and badminton, while spending late nights drinking champagne, telling young girls stories of fame and fortune with stars in their eyes. Purely conjecture of course. But I'll never confirm nor deny. There are eight tracks on Champagne Promises, and the album was originally intended to have ten. Champagne Promises will be the last cd in a full length album format. We believe the decade of the Single is back! The dawn of the ipod has made us see that music lovers have their own perfect album side. We want to be able to constantly deliver music to our fans without having to wait so long with the constraints of time and money. And giving the creative leeway to release music that we’re moved to make, not what we think well with the other songs on the cd. We’ll leave that up to you as to which songs will play nicely with each other. You’ll decide whether or not a song is on your workout or party playlist, or hopefully on your late night lovin’ list! We love what we do, but most importantly, it’s not about us, it’s about you.
