About Me

A good friend once asked me what I'd do if I didn't have to work. I have a feeling this might be it...
I've been a movie geek for as long as I can remember. I've always been excited by the possibilities of the medium, and thrilled by the moments when it lives up to them. I never get tired of talking about film, as you've probably figured out from my original blog .
Now's my chance to do just a little more than talk about it. The story behind The Livingroom began here , at NALIP's Spring Slam event. It was a terrific showcase for local filmmakers, and I was happy to discover that many of the works shown that night are available online.
And so (with some encouragement ), I decided to set up this virtual theater, a place where I can screen some of my favorite shorts and trailers. Since I'm a member of TXMPA , you can expect a strong emphasis on Texas filmmakers. There's a lot of talent here that deserves our support.
I hope you like the new place. Take care, and remember to silence your cell phones...

Really, anybody who's involved, or even just interested, in the film industry. If you'd like to share stories or compare notes, or even suggest a film for this page, please feel free to send a note. This is a work in progress, so suggestions are more than welcome.

Further Adventures In Good Film Music, or: Why I Am This Way, Chapter LXXIX
