Is a big part of my life
& I have two people to blame for that.
Firstly Kerry Foster who introduced me to the whole Auckland scene,& (now this week he's introduced me to Myspace!).The other is 'Big Matt' who was DJ'ing a week after I meet kerry & who was the Big Daddy'O of the whole scene from DJing, Clubs, the House to hang out at,to the Local Scooter shop owner!
'Big Matt' passed away this week,
I Dedicate this site to him.

So I'll start at the beginning... At school heard 'Dance Craze'in'82, then meet Kerry "Foz" Foster the orginal Kiwi 2-Tone boy,Got introduced to Big Matt & Little Matt's SKA & Soul set at the Zanzibar in'84 with my friend Mark.Also met my main man Trent "Skabrim" Brimble,Neil,Steve,Peter,Graham,Patrick,Malcolm,Andrew.'we are the Mods'.Also hung out Debbie & the Goths Nicky,Tammy Bridget & Miles.Danced the night away at 'Collage',with the Paula's, Becky, Johanna etc. Learnt about Northern Soul & to DJ at Martin's 'Fingerpop'Club with my 'Kent Soul Collection',& Helped run & DJ'ing at the'The Press Club'.Supported "The Right Track" & "Night Train" Bands.
Went abit Skinhead with Little Matt & Neil when Debbie came back from the UK,
Then abit Surf'a'Billy with Steve,Rob,Benny,Donna,Greg & Trish,in the PA Vauxhall Velox up to Paihi with the 8 footers on the roof!
Back to Mod with Andrew,Antony,Jon,Lee,Daniel,Bede & Steve 'Pub',Simone,Cara,Becky & Shannon.
Then the start of NZ Scooter Rallies with Twist grip scooter club members Greg,Gary,Paul etc & Matt Brooks,Peta,Lambertus & Rob from Christchurch.
Then the Hamilton Mods Mark,Bruce,Jason,Blair & the girls Adrienne,Analeise, Rebbeca,Cheryl,Megan Selina & my Marise.
MY JOB HERE IS DONE...Off to the UK.Hit the SKA scene & saw 'Skin Deep','The Loafers','Bad Manners',Desmond Dekker.
Meet Phil "the Plug" Otto & The Clique,saw John-Paul's & Dom's debuts,toured with,Trevor,Chris,Giles,Paul & Thierry in the Ex-Prisoner tour van with the Ardvarks.
Became a Untouchable with Dr Robert,Dave E,Catford Chris,Putney Sean,Camden Colin,Scot the bot,Andy,Lee,Tetley,Angela,Claire,Maz lots of other Brillant Mods,Skins & Freakbeats! Went to loads of great Clubs.
Josh,Dom & Toby's 'Jools'in Edgeware Rd on a Friday,The Junction in St Johns to see the Aardvaarks & the Yardbirds,Drummonds in Kings Cross on Sunday night Grandad Sean,Nick ( a hi-light was 'Check it out' John in dressed up half big bird half Clown & me getting drunk under the table by a Oz Sheila & not seeing her 'map of tazzie!" & inventing the 'Invisible Basketball Shank'.
Tuesday's was 'Twist & Shout' at the 'Camden Palace' with Lisa. Mid week with the Medway Maidstone Mods, 2 Bob,The Jane's & the Twin's. Also the Reading Blues & Beastiality Mods doing with Block with Smiler,JB,Andy & Jon Phillips.Thursaday was at 'Gaz's Rocking Blues'with Nutty Paul for a dose of SKA with Laurel Aikin or the Trojan's.Also 'The Marquee' to see Bosh! it's 'Boys Wonder'.& Later the Mousetrap in Finsbury park.
& The Rallies first C.C.I with Tony Class then Untouchables, especially I.O.W,Brighton,Blackpool & Ramgate & Rythym & Soul set at Clacton on Sea.
Catching up with Keith & Wendy from Northampton,Kent & the Southampton Scrimpers Doug & Alena,Uncle Sean,Noj.
I really miss the B'n'B breakfast Banter!
Being able to go into Europe to Brussels & Saarbrucken & La Rochelle with the bands.
Seeing Paul Weller,Madness,Buzzcock,9 below zero,James Taylor Quartet,Geno Washington along the way.
Left in '92 back, came back to do it all again 2 years later with my new wife Marise,for another 4 years!.
Whan home via Africa & been back in NZ nearly 9 years.
Have 3 kids Lily 8,Conrad 4 & Heath 2.
