Born in Rome in 2006, Deusfilm s.r.l. is a company operating for audiovisual in Cinema, TV, music, press and multimedia publishing. In 2007 Deusfilm independently produced and distributed the feature film NAZARENO, an original “spiritual noir” directed by Varo Venturi, performed almost entirely by non-professional actors, that reached interesting results at the box office, excellent critical consensus, and the Special Jury Award for the Best European Dramatic Feature Film at the ECU The European Indipendent Film Festival, held in Paris in march 2008. Deusfilm is now developing various innovative projects for Cinema, TV and music, trying to state its stylistic concept through the works of rising authors as well as great masters of the past.The philosophy behind this “factory” – constantly evolving and looking for collaborations with outstanding young artists and technicians – is a new vision of cinema and of its production aspects, through an “alternative” use of state of art technologies in order to propose a more dynamic and progressive European cinema d’auteur, but also international co-productions, or innovative TV series, hyper-exploiting the artistic as well as the productive elements.“Borderline” themes, freedom of expression, a “technological new-realism”, iconoclasm, new-spirituality, hybridations of cinema generes; playfully and provocatively joking with its own name, Deusfilm tends to explore new frontiers of “thinking” - as “creating” – Cinema. Through the spreading of new ideas and of an “alternative” information, by involving institutions and facilities all around the world that want to pursue boldly and with determination new concepts, both for art and managership, we believe in the need of going far beyond the tight grid of our “global systems”, which is weakening Cinema and communication in general on this planet.The dream of being at the core of a New Renaissance for the narrative concepts and audio-visual communication techniques, through an integrally independent “net”, gives us strength and enthusiasm for operating on multiple levels; the dream of opening the minds in contrast with the actual state of mass conditioning makes us feel certain that our ideas and style can be shared by anyone who looks for “higher” dimensions in which to evolve their existences, also within the showbusiness industry.
