Diabetes ~ Think it doesn't effect you? THINK AGAIN! You may not have it but I am sure someone you know does. Have you checked yourself for Diabetes? Please do!! It only takes a secound and can help save your life! I didn't think it effected me either untill I almost lost my youngest daughter to it. But now with care and knowledge she not only is one step ahead of Diabetes, she has shown me what true courage and determination is...she has become my Hero. Diabetes is nasty and horrible but can be controlled and the earliest you find out you have Diabetes and follow your doctor's instructions, there are minor if any complications. It is not a death sentence as it was many years ago. You can lead a normal, happy life and I wanted to create this page for just that. You are not alone! And we will continue to fight for a Cure!Diabetes effects me alot now. My daughter has it, my husband has it, my mother has it, my father-in-law has it as well as several friends. This alone should tell you how widespread Diabetes is. Ask your doctor to be checked....I want to do all I can to spread the word for EVERYONE to be checked on a regular basis as well as support Stem Cell Research which can help if not cure Diabetes, Parkinson's Desease, MS,heart problems and so much more you would be amazed, in fact be amazed, please learn and support and ask your friends and family to join this site.
