About Me

I was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico in November 8, 1976. Following the footsteps of a musician father and brother, I began exploring music at a very early age, deciding finally to concentrate on the saxophone as my primary instrument at the age of 10. From there, I developed into a very proficient saxophone player which propelled me to participate in several local professional Latin music bands and shortly after to be part of the “Banda Estatal Juvenil” (COPANI), a representative youth orchestra of the Island whose credits include top names of today’s Latin music scene such as Chayanne, Victor Manuel, and others. After that, I went on to study at University of North Texas, where I earned a degree in Jazz Studies in Saxophone Performance and Arranging. While in Texas I met and had the opportunity to play with international smooth jazz artist “Carlos Guedes” and with Christian Rock/Funk group “Crispin” with whom I got to travel briefly through the U.S. and Europe. Shortly after, I moved to the city of Miami seeking a Mater’s degree in Music with specialty in Performing Arts Production at Florida International University in 2002.While in Miami, I've had the oportunity to work extensively in many different aspects of music. Whether live or in the studio, whether as a saxophone player, arranger, producer, composer or musical director, I've been priviledged enough to work with names like Ricky Martin, Sergio George, Issac Delgado, Alejandro Jaen, Angel Lopez (Son by Four), Jerry Rivera, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Didier (MDO), Rayito, Roberto Livi, Anais, Roy Tavare, Danny Berrios, Andy Montañez, Palito Ortega, Daniel, and many others. I have also done some composing and arranging work for television including music for network TV such as in “IFL Battleground” (Fox Network), Mega TV, “Corazones Descarados” (Telemundo).I am currently touring with several Latin Music Bands, actively composing, arranging and producing new music, and am very happy to be a session player in the Latin and Pop music scenes in Miami & New York where I have many talented friends with whom I share this My Space!!!!!
