About Me

I am a passionate songwriter/ performer born in a little country town called Mangalore in Tasmania, Australia. Unfortunately the town is now a sign post on a highway and most of the houses and farms are long gone. I love Australia but adore my new home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Since arriving here in Music City, I have met some wonderful people and incredibly talented songwriters and performers. I have been co writing with some amazing people and the songs here are a sample of some of my favourites.I signed with The White Zone publishing company on music row and look forward to a long relationship with some great down to earth management and staff.I am also a member of the band "Oakleaf", playing lead guitar and singing backing vocals. I love this band and all the members in it. Check us out if we are in your area, you won't be disappointed. As well as Oakleaf I also play guitar for the fabulous Susannah Stone.Song One is called "A Good Man Bound For Hell". Written with Rachel Williams and Kim Copeland. Writing this one was a hellovalotta fun and the incredible Rachel sang the daylights out of it. This girl is gonna be a huge star!!!!! Thanks to Rachel and Kim for putting it on their session. Love y'all.Song Two was written with the incredible Doug Stokes and Colin Street. "Loving You Now" was produced by Mike Flanders as only he can do it and I love it! Doug sang this demo with his amazing voice and if I'm sure Doug is destined for way bigger things!!!!Song Three "Too Short Anyway", was written with Derrick Spaulding, and Jared Blake. It started while Derrick and I had just finished another song and we saved it so we could complete it with our buddy Jared. Pretty haunting little track!!Song Four is "The Moments" and has been released in Australia as Kane Harrisons debut single and is currently enjoying major chart success. It's another one written with Doug and Colin. It is my first single release with the White Zone and Mike Flanders has produced a beauty!! Check out Kanes' Myspace for his details, he is gonna be a huge star and as he puts it "Get On The Kane Train" in 2009!!! This is the video released in AustraliaSong Five "My Radio" was written with Derrick Spaulding and Colin Street and sung by Craig Campbell. The song came from a great idea that Derrick was working on and I just love the lyric. Check derricks myspace out, he is an incredible writer on the verge of big things... someone needs to sign him before he starts making all the money himself.Song Six is another one with Doug and Colin. This is a brand new one, hot off the press in fact. Doug IS A LEGEND!!! Great arrangement, Lyrics and Vocals. Well I certainly think so. Love it!!!Song Seven, "Ripple", was co-written with the fabulous Christi Bauerlee and Colin Street. I love this song as I really think that we could all do to pay a little kindness forward to make this world a better place. Too easy!!!!Song Eight, "Ghost Town", is another Spaulding/Street collaboration which Derrick sang the you know what out of. Jared Blake sang some real cool backgrounds and I snuck some acoustic guitar on it. Watch out for more Derrick Spaulding songs in the future as he is working hard on a project at the moment and it's gonna be reeeeeaaaal cool!!!Song Nine, "Running From Greenville" was co-written with David Oakleaf, Lewis Brice and Colin Street at the Key West Songwriters Festival in 2008 but hasn't seen the light of day until now. The band "Oakleaf" has been performing the song for some time to such a response that we decided to get it demo'd.

Music:

Band Members: Bruce Holloway
Influences: Growing up in a home with everything from Elvis, Johnny Cash, Wanda Jackson, Beatles, Beach Boys, Slim Whitman, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Willie Nelson and Ray Charles I had a very wide appreciation for all styles of music. As I entered my teens I gravitated to the major rock bands of the time like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendricks. I still loved the country element though, and constantly listened to The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby Stills and Nash, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young. As time rolled on I fell in love with so many other styles and acts and still constantly discover new musical pleasures in all sorts of places. At present I am listening to Jude Cole, Cowboy Mouth, Brad Paisley, The Eagles, Troy Casser Daly (A major Aussie talent) and well as much music as I can hear on random from my ipod.I am influenced by just about all genres of music but LOVE country and ALWAYS will!!!!!!
