I was at work in the breakroom, almost 4 in the afternoon. Ray stepped in to get something from the kitchen; we swapped info on how many credit applications I had gotten earlier in the day. Then he said, "Did you hear what happened?"
"What?"
"About Michael Jackson. He died....."
"You're lying....." I sputtered. He left the room and I was extremely surprised that I started crying. I was in terrible disbelief. I asked a couple other people on my way back to the floor, "Can't be! Is it true?"
Unfortunately and sadly, it was.This week's "VOTW" and the others underneath will be a tribute to one of the world's greatest, gifted entertainers. Amazing how just one life touches so many other lives, then leaves such an awful hole when it's gone.....Michael Jackson; gone too soon at the age of 50. Please, finally be at peace. --SOYCD

Ahhh, who could forget this 1983 performance, when he debuted his trademark "moonwalk?" I was fortunate to be watching TV as it happened!
I wish Michael and his sister Janet could've done more songs together.....but one always thinks there will be more time. Michael's untimely death goes to show you that you never know what tomorrow will bring. Savor your time today.....Carpe Diem.

Now living in Lynnwood with my teenage daughter "Ems" (Emily) and my Brian, who has been my sweetie since 2000. I enjoy working in movie houses and theaters, but someday I want to make my own films or even be on stage; hope to make that happen soon!
