Lumpen Trio

Lumpen Trio consider free improvisation as a management of chance and creation of accidents where oblivion, emotion, and intensity, allied to a playful and easied spirit, have a dynamic and structural function. Starting in 2001 by António Chaparreiro, Jorge Serigado and Ernesto Rodrigues, it has kept an activity essentially directed to live acts and whose registers have been received particularly well by the critics. The arrival of Miguel Sá, beyond modifying the global noise of Lumpen Trio, also came to stimulate and to renew its aesthetic and musical proposals keeping however some of its initial premises whose echo we can find in the words of Rui Eduardo Paes: a music extremely fragile, a music that compels the listeners to be leaned over on it, but paradox of the paradoxes, has the intensity, the density, the vigor and the excess of grindcore and death metal ". And a lot of freedom.
