I just got back from the trip of a lifetime to Egypt with my best friend Patti. The only word that comes close to describing it is surreal. As we were riding camels towards the pyramids I just kept asking myself if it was really happening. We saw some amazing temples where every square inch was covered in hieroglyphs. We felucca'd at sunset, took a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise and swam in the Red Sea. We smoked sheesha at the hooka bars, saw belly dancers, snake charmers and whirling dervishes. All the time we felt very safe. The Egyptian people are friendly and embrace Americans.
