Kiki and Carmelo have been in the studio recording new material; more about that as it is revealed!!
Kiki and Carmelo have been together since 1994 and have three fantastic albums under their belts. They have toured extensively performing their own songs and some hand-picked cover versions to admiring audiences all over the world.
Kiki's singing career began in the 60s in her home town of Bradford. Her impressive vocal abilities gained her a signing to Tamla Motown and she became the first European artist to join the label. Kiki finally achieved fame in the early 70s releasing songs like 'Amoureuse' , 'I Got The Music In Me' and 'Loving And Free' on Elton John 's label, Rocket Records. The pair got together on the enduring classic (and karaoke favourite) 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' giving both Kiki and Elton their first UK number one hits. They got together again in 1993 for the UK number 2 hit True Love
Kiki turned to theatre in 1984 performing in Pump Boys & the Dinettes and again in 1988 playing the lead role in a production of the musical Blood Brothers in London's West End.
Carmelo heard Santana at a very young age and knew the guitar was for him. He taught himself with the aid of a little classical training. He entered the music business and signed to Bill Wyman 's Ripple Productions. He has co-written with Julian Lennon and worked with amongst others, Andy Williams , Paul Rogers , Ray Cooper , Ralph McTell and Chris Rea . In 1994 Along with Greg Penny , he produced two songs for Kiki's Greatest Hits album. Shared influences and an interest in fusing eastern with western sounds, brought the two together.
