THE ADEPT
The Adept started its reign of unrelenting metal terror in the summer of 2005, when guitarists Rob Wharton and Mike Mayo wanted to decimate the extremely weak and tired South Jersey metal scene. As a result, The Adept established themselves a force to be reckoned with after releasing a few devastating demos, which ultimately led to the up-and-coming British label giants, Siege of Amida Records (S.O.A.R.), to recruit The Adept to be a part of their critically acclaimed roster. After various lineup changes, The Adept has established themselves with the incredible line up of: technical guitar wizards, Mike Mayo and Rob Wharton; vocal monstrosity, Ken England; human drum machine, Mark Green, and bass virtuoso, Bob Vasile. The Adept has shared the stage with many well-established metal acts including: Suicide Silence, A Life Once Lost, Bury Your Dead, As Blood Runs Black, The Faceless, Ion Dissonance, Cephalic Carnage, and Beneath the Massacre. The Adept will embrace 2008 with their long anticipated debut record entitled, “Catastrophic Ecstasy.†Expect sheer brutality and aggression, coped with implications of melodic passages and progressive elements that will punish the competition of the trendy, monotonous metal scene. The Adept has something to offer all connoisseurs of extreme music, and 2008 marks the impeccable emergence of technical finesse that is The Adept.
