About Me

At some point during my life, although I’m not sure quite how it came to pass, I fortuitously discovered a bass guitar in my hands. Shortly after this occurred I fell madly in love with Jaco Pastorius, Stuart Zender, Victor Wooten, and several other bass players simultaneously. This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between myself the bass guitar. I took my first jazz lessons at WAC (Weekend Arts College) in Belsize Park, London, under the wise instruction of UK saxophonist Tim Whitehead. The following year I went to take my degree in music at Birmingham Conservatoire, where I met and played with all sorts of interesting musicians and had many inspiring lessons from the likes of Fred Baker, and the ever insightful Arnie Somogyi. One year later and I’m lucky enough to still be playing with some great musicians and working on many interesting projects.
