Welcome to Eva Auad on myspace! Eva, born in The Netherlands, has been busy singing and writing songs since the age of 12. She grew up in the surroundings of a very musical family. As a kid, Eva performed on the streets, together with her father and brother. They performed all sorts of Beatle and Beegees songs, in beautiful harmony. Eva learned to play the piano thanks to her mama's teaching. On october 2007 Eva performed her own songs on piano, for the first time, in www.depiek.nl in Vlissingen, NL. Already Eva was recording demo's, two of them in SAE studio's, Amsterdam, by Michel de Vries. Musical influences in Eva's life would be the work of artists such as Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Muse, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, The Beatles, Gospelmusic, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Prince, James Brown, Blues, Rock ..n Roll, and lots of other great musicstyles and musicians. Eva loves to sing with a little mixing-styles-up! Eva Auad's music should be described as 'strong emotional songwriting', with surprising hooks and personal lyrics. Special popsongs, from which some are bluesy grooves, followed by more intimate piano ballads as well as some hiphop type of beats. Eva's debutalbum is being recorded and, if things go well, should be available on online stores soon. At the moment, Eva is looking for musicians for her new band. Eva's had her first ballad (Sunshine in my life) written at the age of 12, it won at the Kunstbende, a competition for young talents. Together with guitarist Igor Presnyakov Eva won the Zeeuwse Belofte talentcompetition in the catagory of singing&songwriting. Eva performed on the Grote prijs v Nederland and sang in a variety of coverbands. Also for live improvisations Eva performed several times together with Jazz guitarplayer Frank Peeters, BE. Eva the was leadsinger of electro popband Evalation. In 2008 Eva performed on Dutch National Radio stations such as Radio 3FM and Radio 2 Tros MusicCafe, introducing her songs Roll it over Me and Hidden Feelings. Eva played with her live band at that time. Also Eva played on several bigger Dutch stages and festivals like Concert At Sea and the Zeelandhallen. Eva also performs just with piano which brings a sort of theaterlike atmoshere. Eva has worked with The Bellamy Boys, a dutch electrofunk group with Matti Bab.
