De Samarghand à Ispahan" est une association née d'un désir culinaire, de nécessité de fête et d'une soif de music. Au départ, on voulait jouer au restaurateur en louant un endroit où donner rendez-vous aux uns et autres, avec un menu iranien, original, sympa et pas cher, histoire de faire un truc iranien, ça change! Puis, en faisant ça une fois par mois, à la Rôtisserie Sainte Marthe, et avec tout le plaisir qu'on y a pris, on s'est dit qu'on pouvait faire plus. La rencontre et la promotion des artistes que nous avions rencontrés ont semblé être notre nouveau projet. Aujourd'hui, "De Samarghand à Ispahan" qui est une association encore toute jeune, cherche à multiplier les rencontres avec les iraniens et leurs voisins. De Samarghand à Ispahan se trace une route un peu mystique, comme la rencontre du sitar et l'électro, du daf et le djembé, du torchi et du kabab,... Nous cherchons donc à rencontrer et promouvoir tous les artistes d'Iran, d'Afghanistan, de Tajikistan, de Khazakstan, bref, tous les "an" en vue de créer une dynamique nouvelle avec des artistes vraiment d'ailleurs!"De Samarghand à Ispahan" which means "From Samarghand to Ispahan" is an association born from a gastronomic desire, need of fiesta and thirst of music. When we started, a couple of months ago, we wanted to play the game of having a restaurant and invite people around an affordable cool and tasty Iranian table. Than, after several dates at this little restaurant in Belleville, we had so much fun and met so many people that we though we should do more than that. Meeting and promoting the artist we met seemed to be our new project. Today, "De Samarghand à Ispahan" is still a very young association but has for a target to multiply the meetings with artist from Iran, Afghanistan, Tadjikistan, Khazakstan, every "an" of the region! From Samarghand to Ispahan is a mystical road, as mystical than the meeting of sitar and electro music, the one of daf and the djumbe, the meeting of torshi and kabab or lavashak and your tong! You must be iranien to get the last metaphor... So all you frenetic Iranian artist, and you Neighbor! come and join us in our Parisian move!
